Researching the public health – PhD study in public health

Healthy population is one of the main topics within regulation authorities. To archive this goal we need a closely collaboration and affords between several stakeholders, within individuals and institutional, authorities and the whole society. Moreover, the intention focuses on the upgrade of knowledge and education. Public health needs to be better studied and results should be integrated into ordinary live. The strategy in Slovenia is to develop an international PhD study in public health with the main purpose to prepare professional researchers which will able to measure the growing diseases, will be as a health promoters and will be able to understand the influential factors and mechanisms involved in diseases. PhD study in public health should include several basic and supplementary subjects/modules in epidemiology, statistic and biostatistics, management in health care and environmental and biochemistry studies. All activities should be carried out between several experts and researches as a interdisciplinary knowledge model.
