Linnanmaa Campus

The Linnanmaa campus is home to the schools of information technology, engineering, business, culture and natural resources as well as vocational teacher training. The Linnanmaa campus is a campus shared by Oamk and the University of Oulu and also the largest indoor campus of Finnish institutes of higher education. The campus is located approximately five kilometres north of central Oulu.

Students of Linnanmaa campus can use project work room 7F205/7F208 without an access card. The project work room is on the second floor in the wing 7F and it is open from Mon to Fri between 7.30–15.45. There are also group working spaces which are along the corridors as well as in the project work rooms. They are available for students when there are no other reservations. Also Pegasus Library has group study rooms that the students of Oamk can use at unreserved times.

There is a Quiet Room on campus (FY1042). The room is meant for meditation and relax and it is open 24/7. The room is for students and staff and it cannot be reserved.

24/7 Campus Card

As an Oamk student, you can acquire a 24/7 Campus Card to access the Linnanmaa campus. 

Parking

Parking in a parking space with or without a heating outlet on Linnanmaa campus requires for a permit via eParking service. Students can apply for a permit using Haka login. See the instructions for the eParking service. It is important to get the parking permit because cars without a parking permit may be fined.

The right to use a parking space with a heating outlet is chargeable and use of an unheated parking space is free. The use of either one requires a parking permit. More detailed information on short-term guest parking is available on the Linnanmaa campus website.

Oulu Campus Navigator is a mobile application which provides indoor navigation on the Linnanmaa campus. It can be downloaded from Google Play and App Store.

You do not need to sign in to application, and it does not track the location of individual users. Its operations are based on Bluetooth transmitters on the campus.

Kontinkangas Campus (School of Health and Social Care)

Please ask the caretaker services to open the door to a class room. If in need for access during weekends please contact Jari Jokinen, the security officer of the campus.

Kontinkangas Library and the library's group work rooms are available for use Monday to Sunday until 9.00 pm. During self-service hours the library can be accessed with an electronic key, which can be acquired from the campus caretaker services at the info in Louhi or Paasi building.
