The aim of basic studies is to provide the student with a comprehensive overall view of the position and significance of the field concerned within society and working life and in an international perspective, to familiarise the student with the general theoretical basis of the field and with communications, and to provide the student with the sufficient language proficiency necessary for practising the profession and for further professional development. (Vararehtorin päätös 13.10.2016 § 16) I know the basic skills of data processing. In a software project that takes the user experience into account I design and implement an interactive website for different terminal devices according to the objectives. I manage the principles of digital marketing and develop products and services with user-centred methods and tools. I develop an online business using the content management system. According to one's own career plan, one can also choose profiling entities in accordance with the curriculum of the day group. The aim of professional studies is to familiarise the student with the main problems and applications of the relevant professional field, as well as their scientific or artistic criteria, so that the student is able to work independently as an expert, development and entrepreneur in the field. (Vice rector’s decision 13.10.2016 § 16) I manage the profiled entities and apply the competence of basic studies and profiled competence in a working life-oriented projects (Company-Oriented Product Development Project 1 and 2). I create premises for continuous learning. The degree programme in Business Information Systems has 70 ECTS of professional studies. The second study year (60 ECTS) is studied in English, and the group also includes international exchange and double degree students. |
