Prerequisites No prerequisities
Objectives The students forms a comprehensive view of a company's operations and the different relations between them. The students become interested in business activities and can identify different operations of companies. After completing this course, the students know the basic business terminology and can use it in their studies. The students recognize the central business operations and processes. The students know the basic concepts in accounting and know its significance as a part of business.
Content Companies as a part of economy. Basic business processes and entity. Starting points for successful business. Companies' basic activities and financial control. Organisational structures and leadership. Growth and internalization as strategic choices. Risks and their control. Responsible business and sustainable development. Significance of accounting in business. Basic concepts of financial and management accounting.
