Graduates have versatile skills and are able to work as designers, software developers and experts in the rapidly developing international fields of electronics and information industry.
Students acquire a good mathematical and logical command which is a basis for their profession and which they will be able to use in technical applications in the future. In addition to their technical skills, graduates also learn the methods of project work and communication techniques as well as the economic operating principles of the industrial life. These themes are studied in integrated courses together with professional topics.
The Option of Software Development provides students with design and implementation skills mainly in mobile and embedded systems in different kinds of technical environments.
A student acquaints him/herself with fields of software such as graphical modeling methods, design of user interfaces and programming of games. The student also acquires basic knowledge of computer hardware technology and embedded systems.
The aim of the studies is to develop comprehensive competences in project work. The main focus of the option is on product development, and thus a part of the studies are carried out in practical R & D projects in cooperation with the local companies.
A graduate is able to work as a designer, a product developer or an expert in different kinds of companies which use IT.
Students are divided into two groups according to their options as early as in the middle of the first year of study. After that the studies proceed mainly in the same group.
A considerable part of the studies is carried out in teacher's guidance in class rooms and laboratories. However, successful learning also requires independent studies outside the class rooms. It is possible to carry out a part of the studies virtually via the networks or during the international student exchange.
