7Y00DU49 Rehabilitation (3 cr)
Prerequisites None.
Objectives The student understands rehabilition as an individual process of a person, and how it is based on legislation and supported by Finnish rehabilitation system. The student understands how multiprofessional rehabilition interventions, including their planning, execution and evaluation, will be integrated and created according to a person's functional capacity. The student recognizes the ethical aspects and the code of conduct in his/her profession and in multiprofessional rehabilition.
Content Key concepts and elements of rehabilitation. Rehabilition service system as a part of Finnish social and health care system. As a client in rehabilitation services. Rights and responsibilities of the client. Rehabilitation as a planned, individual and multidimensional process. ICF classification. Benefits of rehabilitation for a client and the society. Rehabilitation legislation and ethical starting points.

Execution methods Multiprofessional groups. On-line and contact lessons at the campus on the second half of the first academic semester.

The student remembers the steps related to the rehabilitation process of an individual. The student names a few statutory rehabilitation services of the rehabilitation system. The student remembers and lists the principles of multidisciplinary working in rehabilitation, ethical principles, networks, and environments.

The student defines the stages of the individual's rehabilitation process. The student explains, using examples, some of the statutory rehabilitation services of the rehabilitation system. The student understands the principles of multidisciplinary working in rehabilitation, ethical principles, networks, and environments.

excellent (5)
The student recognizes the entirety of an individual's rehabilitation process. The student knows the statutory rehabilitation services of the rehabilitation system. The student understands the whole of rehabilitation's multidisciplinary work, ethical principles, l networks, and environments in a wide area. The student understands the importance of researched information in rehabilitation.
