Prerequisites | All the first and second year studies and previous practise finished. |
Objectives | The student is able to describe the demands of evidence-based practise in occupational therapy. The student can justife his/her choices and decisions by evidence. The student demonstrates ability to establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship or other professional co-operative relationships. The student is able to intentional adjust and change the therapeutic strategies throughout the process as well as plan and implement occupational therapy interventions to meet the clients, individual, group or community, goals using conceptual models of occupational therapy. She/he is able to choose and adapt occupation that will enable clients occupational performance, participation and involvement. The student has developed knowledge and skills required for co-operation and informing about the occupational therapy process and outcomes. The student is able to reflect on his/her work and follow the ethical guidelines concerning occupational therapy. |

pass/fail The student works professionally and actively in collaborative relationships using goal-oriented guidance. The student understands the basics of the therapeutic interaction relationship and knows how to apply the knowledge of occupational therapy when working in cooperation with the client, his relatives, and other cooperation parties. The student uses different databases in search of evidence for occupational therapy intervention and applies it to the occupational therapy of their clients. The student applies client-oriented occupational therapy interventions using activity analysis and evidence-based occupational therapy methods to enable therapeutic activity. The student evaluates and analyzes his activities, adapting his activities to enable the client's goals and participation. The student records his observations about the occupational therapy process reliably and draws some conclusions about the client's occupational therapy process. The student produces his reflections and understandings to illustrate his activities and participation as a member of the community. |
