| Prerequisites | First year studies. |
| Objectives | The student knows challenges of development and the main occupations of adulthood. She / he is able to define effects of changes in life situation, deceases and injury to the occupational performance and participation. The student is able to recognize the attitudes and threats enabling or preventing occupational justice and equality. The student is able to apply certain theories or models or frame of references of occupational therapy as part of occupational therapy for adult. She / he is able to justify the client-centred and occupational focus of therapy plan made by student her-/himself. The student is able to explain possibilities of occupational therapy to promote employment, vocational rehabilitation and occupational health and welbeing. |
| Content | Adulthood as stage of life. The crucial changes threatening participation. Occupations of adulthood. Threats and risk factors for participation. Client-centered and occupational focused occupational therapy. Promoting self-care, domestic care, leisure, study, work and rest and social participation. Preventive occupations. Conceptual models, theories and frame of references of occupational therapy. Vocational rehabilitation and occupational wellbeing. |

satisfactory (1-2) The student identifies a few problems with the working ability of a client of working age and describes their effect on participation in activities. The student names and remembers something from the theories of occupational therapy and can tell about it in his own words. good (3-4) The student knows and knows how to describe the central functional capacity problems of a client of working age and understands their consequences for human participation. The student applies the theories of the study course and the analysis of activities appropriate to the occupational therapy of example clients and justifies his choice. excellent (5) The student understands and knows how to describe the central functional ability problems of a working-age client and understands their consequences for human participation. The student knows how to apply the theories of the course to clients' occupational therapy and justifies their choice by applying the analysis of activity and environment. |
