AT00EO91	Dance Practitioner Studies 9 (10 cr)
Prerequisites	Not applicable
Objectives	The learner becomes familiar with dance lesson practices and practices the basic elements of each dance genre as well as dancing to music. The learner dances a dance genre of his/her choice from Oamk Dance School's offerings at least at the elementary level.
Content	The basics of bodily interaction, dancing in a community, dancing the basics of the chosen dance genre to music playing according to the style, dancing alone and in a group, and in different formations alone and with a partner. Strength and mobility training typical of the dance genre.
Recommended optional programme components	If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
Accomplishment methods	The course and its contents cannot be completed as such elsewhere.
Execution methods	Dance lessons are organised on weekday evenings in accordance with Oamk Dance School's timetable in the dance studios of the Linnanmaa Campus.
Materials	The learning material consists of the course's contak lessons.

Evaluation Criteria	Approved/Failed
Evaluation Criteria	satisfactory (1-2) The assessment criteria for the course are: - The student is able to dance the movement material at an approved level. - The student is able to dance to music and its rhythms. - The student is able to dance and act independently, with a partner and in a group. - The student has participated in contact teaching (80%). - The student works actively in the group and participates in the preparation and practice of common learning assignments. The course is then approved when the previous criteria are met. The course is then rejected if the criteria are not met or parts of them are not met.

Further Information	The equipment according to the dance lesson and type is instructed at the first meeting (clothing and footwear that enables movement).
