AT00EH90 Dance Practitioner Studies 3 (10 cr)
Prerequisites Participation in the course requires at least two years of active dance experience.
Objectives The learning outcomes are determined according to the course content. The learner already knows and is familiar with different dance lesson practices and related factors. The learner dances and practices the advanced movement material of each dance genre and combines it with the music playing. In addition to the above, the learner deepens what they have previously learned and uses their creativity to implement personal expression. Is able to act in a self-directed manner to promote his/her own learning. The learner is able to produce their own movement material in a guided manner and is able to discuss it in a group. The learner dances a dance genre of his/her choice from Oamk Dance School at an advanced level in the teaching of a trainee in Oamk's dance teacher training and/or a supervising teacher belonging to Oamk Dance School's staff.
Content Bodily interaction, dancing alone, with a partner and in a community, phenomena according to the style of the chosen dance genre at an advanced level, the relationship of movement and dance to music, dancing in space, alone, with a partner and in different groups and formations.
Recommended optional programme components If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.

Execution methods Dance lessons are organised on weekday evenings in accordance with Oamk Dance School's timetable in the dance studios of the Linnanmaa campus.
Materials Participation in the course requires at least one year of active dance experience.

Evaluation Criteria

pass/fail
The assessment criteria for the course are:
- The student is able to dance the movement material at an approved level.
- The student is able to dance to music and its rhythms.
- The student is able to dance and act independently, with a partner and in a group.
- The student has participated in contact teaching (80%).
- The student works actively in the group and participates in the preparation and practice of common learning assignments.

The course is then approved when the previous criteria are met.

The course is then rejected if the criteria are not met or parts of them are not met.
