AT00DW58 Complementary Studies in Ballet (20 cr)
Prerequisites Preliminary skills for the required objectives of the course.
Objectives I set learning goals to develop my own dance skills as well as increasing the professional knowledge. I act responsibly in the development of the capabilities and the skills of dance in different learning situations and environments, taking into account others. I will dance the intermediate level dance material and repertoire of ballet technique in its appropriate style. My dancing is in good interaction with the played music. I apply the understanding of the body and the body intelligence in learning and interaction situations. I analyze the core phenomena, teaching culture and methods of learning the skills of ballet dance form. I understand the factors affecting the goals, learning content and structure of the dance class in basic and advanced ballet education. I plan, implement and evaluate basic and advanced level ballet teaching in a pedagogically justified way. I use appropriate professional terminology. I choose music suitable for the learning situation and complete my library of music suitable for dance teaching. I plan and implement the process of making a new ballet choreography. I plan and implement an ensemble suitable for the skill level from the point of view of dance knowledge. I apply a conscious understanding of physicality and body intelligence in learning and interaction situations. I evaluate the development of my skills and development needs as well as my strengths in relation to ballet dance cultures.
Content Setting and reflection of personal skills objectives. Anatomical and kinesiological basic concepts in ballet.
Dance technique: core-distal work, shoulder plate support, use of potential and kinesthetic -energy, flow of movement and expansion of spatial movement capability.
Sense of dancing style and expression: rhythm of movement, expression of dynamics and musical dancing. The ballet's basic and advanced level movement material includes exercises at the barre, on the middle floor, sur les pointes technique and ballet repertoire. Deepening the body knowledge and interaction of the ballet dance species. Producing learning content. Basic and advanced ballet methodology, didactics and pedagogy. Development of demonstration skills. Planning, implementation and evaluation of basic and advanced ballet lessons. Creating and teaching new ballet choreography. Preparing and teaching an activating lecture suitable for the field of dance knowledge. Cultural visit. Professional terminology.
