Description


AT00DN70 Choreography as a Tool for a Dance Teacher (5 cr)
Prerequisites If necessary, the student, teacher/teacher tutor/study councellor discuss the other recommended studies in HOPS discussions.
Objectives I get to know the craftsmanship of making choreography. I utilize choreographic thinking and I creatively use different methods in choreographic work. I apply the models of choreographic thinking to the pedagogical framework of dance teaching. I incorporate the principles of improvisation and composition into my work processes. I make use of the special features of the location in the positioning of the performers and the realization of the movement material. I analyze the movement material of the presentation by means of movement analysis and describe its structure with dramaturgic tools. I justify the musical or sound material choices of the choreography and analyze their relationship to the movement material. I promote the design and implementation of the visual elements of the presentation. I work as both a choreographer and a performer in an artistic project. I stick to the agreed work schedule and production budget. I produce promotion material about the content of the performance, the performers and the target group. I reflect on my own and others' work on the project.
