| AT00DN40 | Music as a Tool in Teaching Dance (3 cr) |
| Prerequisites | If necessary, the student, tutor teacher and study councellor discuss other recommended studies in HOPS discussions. |
| Objectives | I understand the interactions between music and dance. I analyse the following basic concepts of music: melody, rhythm, beat, pace and time signature, as well as the structure of the song, different rhythm layers and different instruments. I recognize the possibilities of using music as part of the dance teacher's work. |
| Content | Basic information about the laws, rhythms, music terminology and shape structures of music used in dance. Music listening and analysis tasks. Using music as a tool for dance teacher. |
| Recommended optional programme components | If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan. |
