O000DX85 Project work basics for dental hygienists (2 cr)

Objectives The student know the structure and main principles of project work.
The student can apply the structure and principles of project work to the development of my field.
Content The structure, stages and main principles of project work. The project meeting and its documentation. Project evaluation and reporting.
Recommended optional programme components If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
Accomplishment methods How to do it: drawing up a project plan in small groups. Organising and documenting at least two project meetings. Conducting, reporting and evaluating the project. Passing the knowledge test.
The project work may be an activity related to another course, in which case it is included in the scope of the course in question.
Execution methods An initial orientation to project work, including an introduction to key concepts and project work. The module includes the planning, implementation and evaluation of a small-scale project in a collaborative way between the group of students and a potential client.
The detailed implementation and scheduling of the project work will be agreed at the beginning of the module.
The project work may be carried out in another module, in which case it is included in the scope of the module in question.

Approved data test with 80% of the answers correct.
If the project is carried out as a second course, the delivery methods may be used as appropriate.

The student actively participates in the work of the project small group. The project plan developed in the small groups is clearly structured and the choices are justified. The project plan includes the structure and phases of the project. The project meeting discusses issues that are relevant and topical to the project to be carried out. The project meeting shall be documented in accordance with the proceedings of the meeting. The project shall be implemented in a planned manner, taking into account the flexibility inherent in the nature of project work. The project will be reported using the stages and activities of the project as its structure. The choices made in the project are justified. Project evaluation will focus on the key issues for planning and implementation. Appropriate use is made of source literature at all stages of the project.

Supplement
The student does not participate in the small group work of the project or his/her contribution is limited. The project plan is poorly structured and does not include aspects related to the structure and phases of the project. Choices are not justified or are not fully justified in the plan. Project meetings are not organised or do not address issues relevant to the project. The issues discussed at the project meeting are not documented or are insufficiently documented. The project is not implemented as planned. The project report is poorly structured and does not contain a comprehensive description of the phases and activities and justification of the choices made. Project evaluation is not carried out or does not address issues relevant to the design and implementation of the project. The project does not make appropriate use of source literature.
