Objectives Professional activities of a nurse/midwife 2 cr:

I know the history of nursing / midwifery and the development of nursing.
Know the key concepts of nursing science - and the key competency requirements as part of nursing / midwifery.
Can work ethically as a nurse/midwife and understand the importance of ethics in nursing
I understand the importance of professionalism and the legislation governing nursing and carry out nursing work in accordance with the legislation
I understand the importance of nursing science and evidence-based nursing as part of nursing care

Health promotion in the nurse/midwife's work 2 ECTS:

I know the concepts and levels of health promotion
I Understand health promotion as a professional activity
I Identify my competences and areas for development in health promotion and professional development
I know the basics of client-oriented guidance
Content Nursing / Midwifery Professional Activity 2 cr

Health promotion in the work of a nurse/midwife 2 cr
Recommended optional programme components If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
Accomplishment methods I develop my skills by acquiring evidence-based knowledge, doing learning tasks independently and in groups.
Execution methods I actively participate in lectures, exercises and simulations.
Study the material covered in the course independently.
Participate in the implementation of a health promotion project.

I understand the ethical aspects of the nurse/midwife's work and am aware of the importance of ethics in nursing
I know the importance of professionalism and the legislation governing nursing and carry out nursing work in accordance with this legislation
I Aware of the importance of nursing science and evidence-based nursing as part of nursing care
I recognise the project-based way of working.
Health Promotion in work of nurse/midwife 2 cr:
Define the key concepts, content areas and levels of health, well-being and health promotion
Describe health promotion as a professional activity
Describe the determinants of health at individual, community and population level and understand the role of health promotion in reducing health inequalities
I know the principles of client-centred guidance and can identify the steps in the guidance process
