OS00DX88 Multisectoral Medical Studies (3 cr)
Prerequisites 1st year medical studies or equivalent knowledge
Objectives The student understands epidemiology and etiology, symptoms and test findings, as well as medical care of the most common gynecological problems and disorders of pregnancy, pediatrics, and psychiatry. The student understands basics of psychopharmacology.
Content Gynecology and problems during pregnancy

Psychiatry and psychopharmacology

Accomplishment methods Lectures and learning tasks
Theory examination
Execution methods The student develops his/her knowledge of gynecology and problems of pregnancy, pediatrics, psychiatry and psychopharmacology via lectures and learning assignments.
The student expresses his/her competence in theory exam.

The student explains key factors regarding epidemiology and etiology, symptoms, examinations and findings, as well as medical treatment of common diseases and disorders in gynecology and pregnancy, pediatrics and psychiatry.
The student names essential psychopharmacological drugs. The student recognizes indications, pharmacological mechanisms and adverse effects and special features of key psychopharmacological drugs.
