Objectives | Student - practices client-centred counselling and, where possible, assess the impact of a woman's pregnancy, childbirth or other health change as part of the nursing process. - identify and address sexual and reproductive health issues related to different ages and life situations (including the impact of illness and medication). - can apply evidence-based knowledge in maternity and/or gynaecological nursing when working in different care settings and take into account the specificities of women's nursing. |
Content | Caring for women in different settings. The process of caring for women and the family. Sexuality disclosure. Sexual and reproductive health counselling. |
Recommended optional programme components | If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan. |
Accomplishment methods | I set personal learning objectives for the traineeship. I practise in a goal-oriented way, making use of the learning opportunities offered by the traineeship unit. Acquire and use evidence-based knowledge. I actively seek guidance to support my learning. Complete learning tasks and self-assessment as part of the traineeship. |

Further Information | Apprenticeship, i.e. a work placement; the student agrees this with the supervisor before the placement. In the case of placements in units with children as clients/patients, a criminal record must be presented to the supervising teacher before the start of the placement. |
