OS00DW38 Professional Challenges in Nursing Care, practical training (3 cr)
Prerequisites You have 120 CR
Objectives 1. I recognise challenging situations in nursing and work communities and am aware of my responsibility to intervene
situations.
2. I gain skills to deal with situations arising from communication and interaction challenges.
3. I critically evaluate ethical behaviour and propose evidence-based solutions to challenging situations.
4. I work safely and I secure working environment (e.g. in the client's home,
hospital and out-patient care unit)
5. Justify my actions based on national and international evidence.
Content 1. Challenging situations in nursing (ethics, interaction and communication, multiculturalism)
2. Considering work, patient and information safety in different working environments
Recommended optional programme components If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
Accomplishment methods I will demonstrate my skills by participating in seminars, developing a simulation scenario in a group, participating in the organisation of simulations and acting as an actor in simulations.
Execution methods I develop my skills by learning about challenging situations, how to prevent them and how to deal with them. I work responsibly and actively in a team. I prepare for and practice in simulations.

1. As part of a group, I developed a simulation scenario of a challenging situation in nursing (e.g. ethics, interaction and communication, multiculturalism, safety, collegiality), drawing on national and international evidence.
2. Assess the safety of the working environment and identify dangerous situations.
3. present solutions to challenging situations in nursing.
4. Act in a professional, ethical, collegial and safe manner in the role of the nurse, taking into account the area of responsibility.
