Description

OS00DW34	Intensive Care II (5 cr)
Prerequisites	You have 120 CR.
Objectives	1. I apply my skills when caring for different groups of critical care patients. 2. I manage CPR and participate in the further care and planning of the CPR patient. 3. I identify and act ethically and safely in specific situations in critical care, applying evidence-based knowledge. 4. I follow CRM principles when working as a member of a multidisciplinary team and when managing an individual care situation. 5. I can assess my skills and develop my own work in a multidisciplinary team based on the feedback I receive.
Content	1. Different patient groups in intensive care (neurosurgical, neurological, internal medicine, trauma) 2. Resuscitation and follow-up care of the resuscitated person 3. Post-operative intensive care 4. Working in a multidisciplinary team and managing a care situation
Recommended optional programme components	If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
Accomplishment methods	1) Special features of intensive care work (2 CR) * Lectures * Preparing a care plan 2) Ensuring competence in intensive care nursing (3 CR) * Skill Stations and Simulations * Demonstrations of resuscitation and clinical skills
Execution methods	1. I develop my skills by deepening my knowledge of critical care work by doing learning assignments and studying topics independently. 2. I apply my skills in skill stations and simulations. 3. I will demonstrate my competence in a coursework assignment and competency tests.
