Description


OS00CF75 Mental health care of children, adolescents and families (5 cr)
Prerequisites The student has completed 120 credits of nursing studies and the demonstration of nursing skills has been passed.

The student must have completed Mental Health and Addiction Nursing and Basic Practical Training in Mental Health and Addiction Nursing (or equivalent skills)
Objectives The student identifies factors in the family, a community and society in the connection to the mental health of the children and adolescents and is able to promote mental health. He knows the mark features and care forms of the children and of the adolescent mental health problems. He can counsel and help the child, young and his families utilising multiprofessional cooperations in different crises and the questions which are related to the mental health
Content Factors in a family, community and society in the connection to the mental health of the children and adolescents. The mental health is promoted by ways of action. Problems of the mental health of the children and adolescents and their care forms. Counselling methods and helping methods in crises of the children, young people and of their families and in questions which are related to the mental health. Multiprofessional ways of action in supporting the mental health of the children and adolescents.
