Description


OL00EM44 Online nursing skills (5 cr)
Prerequisites The student has completed a minimum of 120 op of their nursing studies.
Objectives The student is able to
• utilize different online tools in nursing (e.g. video calls, chat, mobile applications)
• evaluate and develop digital- and health literacy skills
• evaluate and develop client service- and interaction skills
• implement care needs assessment through phone, video calls and chat
• guide clients to different healthcare services
• evaluate and develop online counseling skills
• utilize patients’ personal health tracking data
• evaluate and develop documentation skills
• evaluate and develop ethical skills within online services
• evaluate the quality of care and suggest solutions for the development of health care services

Recommended optional programme components If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
Accomplishment methods The student will develop their skills by getting acknowledged with related evidence-based learning content, completing related learning tasks and evaluating their own skills independently according to the instructions provided. The student will also develop their information retrieval skills.
Execution methods The course will be implemented as an online course in Moodle, nonstop .
Materials Material for learning will be provided in the Moodle platform, which will be opened for the students’ access after enrollment and acceptance to the course.

FAIL
The student fails to demonstrate the ability to evaluate and/or develop their skills in some or all of the contents mentioned in the course aims.
The student has not completed some or any of the learning tasks appointed on the Moodle-platform.

Further Information Enrollment to courses will mainly follow the schedules of Oamk. As this course is carried out nonstop, outside the enrollment period students can contact the teacher, who will add the student to the course.
