TS00BN59 Wooden Structures (5 cr)
Prerequisites The Behaviour of Load Bearing Structures, Basics of Statics, Strength of Materials or corresponding skills of the above-mentioned courses.
Objectives The student knows the structural properties of wooden construction materials and the use of wooden structures as well as the issues regarding design of load bearing wooden structures. The student possesses the skills required in planning simple load bearing wooden structures.
Content Structural properties and design principles of wooden construction materials. The use and design of load bearing wooden structures such as beams, columns and truss structures.
Recommended optional programme components If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
