The aim of the program is to meet the needs of the construction industry in northern Finland and to educate skilled workers in leadership and site engineering prepared to proceed to demanding foremen positions needed on construction sites.
The students are prepared to work in production design and leadership positions on building sites, in road construction, earth construction, water construction and landscape construction as well as in management duties in construction projects. The graduates of the program are qualified to work as foremen on building sites as described in the Land Use and Building Act.
The degree program aims at receiving practically oriented applicants. The program is a combination of theory and practice, including e.g. project work and tutored practical training period in cooperation with companies.
