TF00BN95 Bridge Construction (5 cr)
Prerequisites Statics, Strength of Materials, Geotechnics and Foundation Engineering or equivalent knowledge.
Objectives Student knows the basics of the design of bridges. Student knows different types of bridge and bridge foundation methods. The student knows different phases of the construction of various types of bridges as well as quality assurance and quality reporting. The student knows the most common damage to bridges, the most common renovation parts and repair methods.
Content Bridge Place documents. Bridge construction parts and the basic concepts. The bridge types. Bridge loads. The establishment of bridges. Design of various types of bridges. Materials of bridge construction. Construction and quality requirements of different types of bridges. Tensioning of the bridge. Bridge repair. The bridge jacking. Element Bridges.
