Objectives The student knows the mechanisms of heat and moisture transfers. The student is able to calculate the U-value. The student indentifies the principles of calculating thermal bridges. The student indentifies the principles of calculating the E-value. The student understands the difference between absolute and relative moisture. The students knows the principle of calculating vapor diffusion through a structure. The student understands the basics of acoustics. The student is able to identify problems of radon and is able to solve those problems. The student is able to explain different kinds of measurements to analyze the physical functions of the structures.
Content Transfer of heat and moisture. Moisture in air and in structure. Acoustics. Radon in construction.
