Prerequisites No prerequisites needed.
Objectives The student will be able to solve reactions and stresses on simple one dimensional structures based on equations of equilibrium. The student can draw diagrams of internal loadings manually and by means of computer software.
Content Basic laws of statics. Equilibrium equations. Division of forces into components. Combination of forces. Reactions. Diagrams of internal loadings in one dimensional structures. Beams and hinged beams, truss structures, single frames.
