Student will be familiarised to modern high-performance management methods. Construction management competence is based on professional skills in production management, which consist of construction and site technology competence, time management, project economy management, project running skills and human resource management. High-performance customer oriented construction management requires modern tools for time management, internal and external purchasing, cost planning and control, contract management and design guidance. High-performance customer oriented construction management requires also effective personnel leadership and management, new co-operative working methods between parties. Project management must be capable to communicate efficiently and correctly inside and outside of the project organization. Moreover it is very important to take advantage of modern communication technology and social media.
The focus of the study program in to develop and uplift productivity in construction industry by production planning and guidance and project management. Students can affect their final thesis subject, which should be practical and applied project.
