Objectives Student understands the whole set of social and health care information systems and the role of information systems in the client's path.
Student is able to take into account accessibility in the provision of services and instructions.
Student understands the nursing decision-making process and related documentation.
Student can use radiology information system.
Student knows the requirements of data protection and security regarding radiographer’s work.
Student can take into consideration the specific issues related to social media from the viewpoint of radiography and radiation therapy.
Content Social and health care services digitalisation and social and health care information systems from the professional's point of view and as part of the patient’s and client's path.
Developing accessible services and instructions to patients and clients.
Structured patient health record documentation in accordance with nursing decision making process.
Radiology information system.
Social and health care data protection and information security.
Social media in health care and social services as part of a health care professional's work.
Recommended optional programme components If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
Accomplishment methods Student demonstrates competence by learning tasks (individual or group tasks) and by tests (like data protection and information security tests), which help student to reflect on his/her skills.
Execution methods Student develops his/her skills by acquiring information about information systems related to health care service system and becoming familiar with the digitalisation of services.
Student learns about patient health documentation, patient involvement in services, data protection and information security by working independently or in small group doing course assignments and practicing documentation and using electronic health record system and radiology information system.

Student knows the legislation governing patient health documentation.
Student can use radiology information system and basics of electronic patient health record system.
Student knows structured nursing documentation principles and knows how to prepare nursing record in accordance with nursing decision making process.
