| Objectives | The student knows how to carry out evidence-based ultrasound examinations and ultrasound-guided interventions and can explain cooperation and safety culture in multi-professional teamwork. The student can care for and guide the patient/customer individually and safely in ultrasound examinations and/or interventions. The student knows how to register patient data in the patient information system and recognizes responsibility in keeping patient information confidential and follows data protection practices. The student knows how to implement continuity of patient/client care. The student recognizes the importance of quality assurance in ultrasound imaging and interventions. The student reviews the safety culture of the ultrasound environment and knows how to prepare for abnormal incidents. The student explores the first aid readiness of the unit and knows how to act in emergency situations. The student explores the principles of economic and ecological sustainable development. |
| Content | Ultrasound examinations and ultrasound-guided interventions. Guiding and caring for the patient/client in ultrasound examinations and procedures. Observation and follow-up of the patient/client. Ergonomics, quality assurance and aseptic policy. Adoption of safe working practices in ultrasound examinations and interventions. The radiographer as an implementer of multi-professional cooperation. |
