Objectives | The student understands epidemiology, etiology, symptoms and findings, medical care, prognosis and rehabilitation of cancer. |
Content | Cancer as a disease; prevention and occurrence of cancer; carcinogenesis and early detection of the illness. Cancer genetics. Various cancerous diseases (breast cancer, prostate cancer, cancers caused by tobacco products; colonic and rectal cancers; kidney and urinary tract cancers; gynaecological cancers; lymphoid cancer; dermatological cancers; thyroid cancer), aetiology, symptoms; examination and medical treatments. Cancer pain management. Recovery. Prospects for cancer treatment. |

The student summarizes the above as a learning diary of his/her own skills. The student passes mandatory assignment. Failed The learning diary and the mandatory assignment do not meet the above criteria or they have not been done. |
