Objectives The student is able to explain the mechanisms of radiation therapy. The student is able to describe the treatment pathway of a radiotherapy patient. The student understands the principles and techniques of external and internal radiotherapy equipment. The student understands the principles of radiation safety and quality management and is able the apply the principles in radiotherapy work. The student is able to explain the stages of radiotherapy planning and understand the importance of planning in the radiotherapy process. The student knows how to carry out radiotherapy. The student can explain the side effects of radiotherapy and the treatment of them. The student knows how to monitor the patient's health. The student can explain the principles of documentation and understand importance of it. The student is able to explain and understands the elements of individual and holistic patient care. The student can explain the factors affecting the overall health of the cancer patient and is able to promote the health of cancer patient. The student understands the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based practice in radiotherapy.
