OQ00DW18 Radiation Therapy and Treatment Planning, training (3 cr)
Prerequisites The student has passed the professional studies (including drug dosage calculation) of Radiotherapy. The student has passed the professional training of Radiotherapy. The student has passed the advanced studies of Radiation Therapy and Radiation Therapy and Treatment Planning.
Objectives The student masters the core content of the art of radiation therapy. The student masters the basics of radiotherapy treatment planning. The student is able to identify the special features of nursing care for patients undergoing radiation therapy and their next of kin. The student is able to carry out patient-centered, individual and holistic art of radiation therapy. The student is able to analyse the meaning of a radiographer´s good quality and safe work in the care of a radiation therapy patient and carries it out. The student is able to justify his/her actions according to the aspects of ethical, economic and social sustainable development. The student is able to work in the interprofessional team in the radiation therapy unit. The student is able to act according to good working skills. The student is able to forecast and prepare for acting in an emergency situation. The students identifies his/her responsibility in maintenance of secrecy of patients information and complies the practice of privacy protection.
