| Prerequisites | Drug dosage calculation tests has been passed. |
| Objectives | The student is able to apply and carry out clinical nursing skills in patient care and teach and guide the patient and his/her next of kin. The student is able to pay attention to sustainable development in his/her actions. The student identifies his/her responsibility in maintenance of secrecy of patient information and complies the practice of privacy protection. The student is able to apply first aid readiness and help the patient when first aid is needed. The student is able to apply the principles of financially and ecologically sustainable development. The student demonstrates good working skills in his/her behavior. The students is able to forecast and prepare for acting in an emergency situation. |
| Content | THIS PART AS CLINICAL PRACTICE IN THE APPLIED UNIVERSITY (1,5 ECTS): Patient examination according to ABCD protocol. Resuscitation. Inserting laryngeal tube, using oxygen container, using a reservoir bag, intubation equipment, CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure), monitoring and ECG, fluid therapy by intra osseal route. Laboratory tests. Condition of skin. iv cannulation. IN HOSPITAL ENVIRONMENT (4,5 ECTS): Creation and promotion of a safe nursing environment. Interaction and communication in nursing care. Patient care according to clinical skills. Asepsis and ergonomics in nursing care. Radiographer´s responsibility for drug therapy given to a patient. Exercise of first aid. |
