OQ00CT62 Radiography and Radiation Therapy and Health Care Service System (3 cr)
Prerequisites No prerequisites.
Objectives The student can describe the substance of radiographer's professional work. The student can tell about the development of radiographer's education. The student can recognize differences in radiographer's professional work in different countries. The student can use information searching programmes in her/his professional development.The student can describe the Finnish health care service system and radiography and radiation therapy as a part of it. The student can identify and analyze on the grounds of professional ethics the facts of ethical views in professional decision making in radiography and radiation therapy.
Content The radiographer education and profession. Information searching programmes. Health care service system. Radiography and radiation therapy within the health care system. Professional ethics and ethical decision-making in radiography and radiation therapy.
Recommended optional programme components If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
