Objectives | The student is able to demonstrate fundamental knowledge and insight into general and clinical pharmacology. Knowledge and understanding should be demonstrated in the areas of: effects of drugs, mechanisms of action and side effects in the body. The student knows the most common drugs. |
Content | Pharmaceutical forms, methods of administration, main drug databases, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, interactions, side effects, analgesics, anesthetics, antimicrobials, respiratory drugs, antiallergicdrugs, cardiovascular drugs, antidiabetic drugs, and basic knowledge of toxicology. |
