| Objectives | The student familiarizes him/herself with subjective refraction and management of vision, monocular and binocular vision testing. The students should be able to discuss and refract a range of patients with common optometric problems in the most suitable way. Observation and recognition of clinical signs, and techniques and skills for determining the near add. |
| Content | Patient history, Symptoms and reason for visit Standard monocular and binocular subjective refraction procedures Cycloplegic subjective refraction Identification, treatment and management using spectacle and contact lenses and prognosis Presbyopia, aphakia and pseudoaphakia. Aniseikonia Wavefront refraction. |

You can discuss refractive errors with the patients in a versatile way and you know how to determine the subjective refraction as required, and justify your solution. |
