Objectives | After completing the course, I have received an introduction to rhythm music theory and its key phenomena, which prepares me for my second-year studies. |
Content | The teaching consists of music theory lectures, in which the student begins to familiarize themselves with the theoretical phenomena of his own field of specialization. The lectures cover the following phenomena: passing tones, special phenomena (pedal point, ostinato and musical sequence), chord symbols, introduction to functional harmony, blues tonality and introduction to modality. |
Recommended optional programme components | If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan. |
Accomplishment methods | Participation in contact teaching. Absences should be compensated by additional tasks. Other ways of completing the course must always be negotiated separately with the teacher. |
