Prerequisites | MA00BS34 Introduction to Music Technology or respective knowledge |
Objectives | Basics of Acoustics, psychoacoustics, electrical engineering, DSP, A/D, D/A, sound re-inforcement and studio work. Application is on understanding monitoring, recording and mixing own instrument and being able to make demo level mix. |
Content | - Principles and theoretical foundation of sound, hearing, sound reinforcement, recording, mixing both in live and studio environments - Principles and practises in live sound reinforcement, planning, microphones, cables, live mixing and monitoring - Principles and practises of working in a studio (recording, transferring/converting, mixing (Logic, Cubase or Pro Tools) Course has both lectures and practical live and studio exercises |
