The aim of the Degree Programme in Rural Development is to generate expertise competence in management, development and entrepreneurship. The curriculum focuses on management competence, research and development competence, and business competence.
The degree programme includes degree-specific and cross-disciplinary studies. From multidisciplinary studies, the student chooses studies that support their own learning goals. Students can also include elective studies from other higher education institutions in their studies. The core of the studies is a thesis based on the needs of working life, in which the student applies and deepens his/her professional competence and expertise. The thesis includes research and development method studies.
The studies will be implemented as blended learning. There will be approximately one contact online teaching day per month.
