A heating and ventilation engineer master HVAC and plumbing systems of a building. He is able to design healthy living and working environments by means of ecological technology.
Studying mathematics is the basis of the studies, which cover topics such as heating, energy production and distribution technology, indoor climate and ventilation technology, cooling technology, water supply and sewerage technology and building automation. There are certain software and applications used in working life, and those are used as tools in studies. At the final stage of the studies, a student completes the thesis which is typically done as a commission for a company. It’s also possible to get different viewpoints by going to study abroad as an exchange student.
A graduate in the degree programme, versed in languages, communication and interaction, can be employed in designing, project management, supervision and client duties in building services and in management duties involving the use and maintenance of HVAC systems in buildings. They can also expect employment in product development, sales and marketing duties in industry manufacturing HVAC equipment as well as in related expert and teaching duties. It’s also possible to study skills required when working as an entrepreneur.
