Description


YY00CH18 Violence Against Woman and Domestic Violence (5 cr)
Prerequisites 60 credits of higher education studies or equivalent knowledge / work experience in the field of health- or social work
Objectives Student
- can identify and describe violence against women and intimate partner violence as phenomena.
- becomes aware of my own attitudes and values towards violence.
- is empowered to talk about and prevent violence and to guide people experiencing violence through the care chain and service system.
- gains interdisciplinary perspectives and skills for cooperation in the social and health sector.
Content Violence against women; phenomenon, diversity and prevalence.
Intimate partner violence; phenomenon, forms and prevalence.
Recommended optional programme components If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
Accomplishment methods I demonstrate my competence by participating in online learning (Info and online webinars) and independent and group work.
Execution methods I develop my skills by acquiring knowledge related to the topic of the course and by working independently and in small groups in a goal-oriented way. The course will be delivered online, on the Moodle learning platform. Please note that you need to log in with your Oamk student ID.
