OS00CF91 Working Life Skills in Nursing (5 cr)
Prerequisites -
Objectives 1) Student is able to work safely, reliably and responsibly as a member of the work community.

2) Student is able to follow the rules of working life and work community and the ethical principles of professional nursing.

3) Student is able to analyze the importance of work community skills in nursing on the basis of reliable research and litterature
Content To be eligible for optional studies, the employment must be in a full-time job corresponding to the future degree and last at least six weeks. Work experience may also consist of several continuous periods of employment of at least two weeks. A certificate of employment must be provided. Part-time work must be agreed separately with the supervisor.
Recommended optional programme components If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
Accomplishment methods You will complete this course in employment during your studies.

You will complete a DEVELOPMENT ASSIGNMENT, which is approximately 5-6 pages in length and is written according to the layout and writing guidelines in the Oamk thesis guide. The assignment is to be returned electronically to your tutor who will give you a mark for completion. A certificate of work must be attached to the assignment.

ASSIGNMENT GUIDELINE: UsE examples and literature provided in the assignment, define what work-life skills and work-life skills are. What is their importance for the organisation - and for the employee? What challenges for the development of work-life and/or work-community skills did you identify in your work? Based on current research, describe how work-life and work-community skills can be developed and how you should develop your own work-life and/or work-community skills. Analyse the importance of induction training for the learning of work-life and work-community skills and evaluate the induction training you have received.
