OS00BW00 Interprofessional Assessment of the Need for Patient Health and Social Service (7 cr)
Prerequisites Not applicable
Objectives 1) The student masters the principles of client oriented interviewing and systematic clinical examination. The student is able to recognize abnormalities in vital functions, patient´s health and life situation
2) The student is able to evaluate the need for care and healthcare services of patients in different age-groups and backgrounds utilizing comprehensively gathered information
3) The student is able to apply different electronic and online services for the evaluation and support of the patient´s welfare, health and functional capacity.
4) The student is able to utilize medical knowledge in nursing care
Content 1) Different diseases of patients in different age-groups and the evaluation for the needs of care in collaboration with the patient.
2) Patient anamnesis, systematic interview, observation, systematic clinical examination and the use of different measurement tools
3) Evidence based methods in the evaluation of welfare, health and functional capacity
4) Medical knowledge: pediatrics, gyneacology and obstetrics, psychiatry and substance abuse.

Systematic clinical examination and evaluation for the need of care (4 cr)
Medical knowledge (3 cr): psychiatry, substance abuse, gynecology, obstetrics, pediatrics.
