Description


OK00BV92 Midwifery Development - project training (5 cr)
Prerequisites The development Assignment (5 CR) is based either on the student's thesis or other developmental challenges in the field of midwifery.

The student has completed at least 140 CR in nursing degree program.
Objectives Student
- is able to identify current and future needs for developing midwifery care.
- knows how to evaluate and improve midwifery care
- is able to work in teams, networks and projects with midwifery knowledge skills
- is planning, implementing and evaluating the evidence based development project (5 CR) based either on the student's thesis or in the developmental challenges in midwifery.
- is evaluating and developing his/her competencies in midwifery
Content 1) Current and future development challenges for midwifery. (Planning of development assignment/ project). 1 ECTS
2) Evidence based development assignment/ project. (Implementation, evaluation and report of the development project) 4 ECTS
Recommended optional programme components If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
Accomplishment methods Student will demonstrate competence by completing a written development assignment (5 credits), based on either thesis or on development challenges that arise in midwifery work.
Student will aim for a work-based approach in my development assignment by collaborating with stakeholders.
Student will plan and participate in a midwifery development day in the spring and autumn (during the final year of my studies).
Execution methods Student develops skills by planning and implementing a written development assignment using guidelines for written work.
Student will develop her/his work based on the received feedback .
