Description
TH00CR19 | Advanced Studies 1 of Welding Coordination (5 cr) |
Prerequisites | The prerequisite for participation in the 'Advanced Studies 1 of Welding Coordination' -course is an approved completion of the 'Basics of Welding Coordination' -course. |
Objectives | 1. Understand the overall view of the terminology of welding engineering and welding processes. 2. Understand structural steels behaviour during welding and know the effects of main variables on the structure of the weld joint. 3. You develop the quality and productivity of welding production. |
Content | Welding processes and equipment: - The terminology and weldability - Traditional welding processes and their efficient use - Modern welding processes and special techniques - Filler materials Materials and their behaviour during welding: - Structure and properties of metals - Heat treatment of base material and welded joints - Structure and properties of welded joints - Steels and non-iron metals - Behaviour of metals in welding |
Recommended optional programme components | If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan. |
Accomplishment methods | The course is assessed by a written exam and the possible repetition of the exam is carried out as agreed. |
Execution methods | Teaching methods: Contact teaching and interactive e-learning. |
Materials | The teaching material is in a Moodle learning environment. |
