Prerequisites | Competence in anatomy and physiology as well as physiotherapeutic examination and reasoning and therapeutic practice in accordance with the curriculum. |
Objectives | The student is able to encounter and examine a client with musculoskeletal problems in a respect and form a physiotherapeutic diagnosis based on the examination. The student can plan, implement, evaluate and document the client's physiotherapy in a client-centered way. The student can act in accordance with evidence-based physiotherapy practice in a patient -safe and ethical manner |
Content | 1. Physiatry and Orthopaedics 1 cr Disorders of the musculoskeletal system, rheumatic diseases and orthopedic operations and their effects on ability of functioning. 2. Physiotherapy to support the functioning of the musculoskeletal system 4 cr Assessment of the ability of functioning and clinical reasoning of a client with musculoskeletal symptoms. Client-oriented physiotherapeutic procedures that support musculoskeletal function. Physiotherapy for patients suffering rheumatic diseases. 3. Physiotherapy practice to support the functioning of the musculoskeletal system 3 cr |
