Prerequisites Anatomy studies especially focused on musculoskeletal system of a human
Objectives Student understand the importance of systematic assessment of functional capacity as part of the physiotherapy process and in supporting the functional capacity of the rehabilitator. Student know how to use the most common tools, methods and means of physiotherapeutic examination. Student understand the basics of biomechanics and kinesiology of walking and can observe it. Student recognize the starting points for reliable recording and know how to use nomenclature in recording. Student can analyze and articulate the emotions and functions of his/her body.
Content Section 1
Basics of physiotherapeutic examination and clinical reasoning 3 cr

Evaluation Criteria 0-5
Evaluation Criteria satisfactory (1-2)
I recognise the importance of systematic assessment of functional capacity as part of the physiotherapy process and in supporting the rehabilitator's functional capacity. I list the most common tools, methods and means of physiotherapeutic examination. I identify the basics of biomechanics and kinesiology, as well as name the stages of walking as the basis for observation. I name the starting points for reliable recording and use the nomenclature for recording. I list the emotions and functions of the body.

good (3-4)
I will explain and partly justify the importance of systematic assessment of functional capacity as part of the physiotherapy process and supporting the functional capacity of the rehabilitator. I list the most common tools, methods and means of physiotherapeutic examination. I will explain the basics of biomechanics and kinesiology. I observe and describe walking and its stages. I will explain the starting points for reliable recording and use the nomenclature for recording. I tell you about the emotions and functions of my body.

excellent (5)
I justify the importance of systematic assessment of functional capacity as part of the physiotherapy process and the support of the rehabilitator's functional capacity. I will give examples and justify the most common tools, methods and means of physiotherapeutic examination. I understand the basics of biomechanics and kinesiology. In different ways, I analyze walking and describe its stages with justification. I reliably record the results of physiotherapeutic examination in accordance with the recommendations, utilising the physiotherapy nomenclature. I analyze and articulate the emotions and functions of my body.
