| Prerequisites | The basic knowledge on students' own field of study. |
| Objectives | The student can describe the service system of social and health care and the related terminology. The student knows the relevant actors in the field, and the forthcoming challenges and future trends in a few years perspective. The student can describe what kind of information systems are used in social and healthcare. The student knows what information is collected and how this information is transferred between actors. The student is able to communicate using correct terminology within multidisciplinary teams. The student is familiar with the legislation for social and healthcare, information systems and devices. The student can use customer/patient relationship management system and understands the functionality of these systems and is able to propose improvements/modifications. The student understands patient safety, information security, user experience and ethical issues related to patient information. The student understands the importance of collaboration in information systems development and his/her own role in the development process. The student can describe the business potentials of SME companies for social and healthcare. |
