Objectives Student knows the principles of being a member of the University of Applied Sciences society and is able to use the possibilities and services provided by the study environment to support his or her studying. Student knows the fundamentals and requirements of his or her degree programme and is able to plan and follow the progress of his or her studies to graduate in planned duration of studies. Student knows how to analyze and develop his or her study skills.
Content Study and welfare support services. Grouping. Information systems and services and information and technical communication skills. Getting to know with the student's study field. Learning skills and knowledge. Student's rights and responsibilities and studying norms and rules. International services and possibilities to develop international skills. Personal study plan.

Further Information In the degree programmes in Health and Social Care and Engineering and Music this study course includes the basics of computer skills / information technology.

Subjectives of the basics of computer skills / information technology: The student knows the importance of data protection and security and knows how to act responsibly in her/his studies and work.
The Student knows how to act responsibly related to intellectual property rights.
The Student is able to use needed IT tools, systems and information networks needed in his/her studies and at work.
The student understands the requirements to continuously update and develop her/his IT skills.



In the other degree programmes this study course includes the basics of information retrieval and orientation to the professional field.
