7S00BR39 Future Health and Social Services and Health Promotion (5 cr)
Prerequisites Methods and implementation:
- Mixed methods; eLearning, web based tests, workshops, videos, health coaching in real life settings.
- Interprofessipnal small group tasks; getting familiar to the service system and people centered care
- Discuss and reflect the value of health in different point of view as part of the good life and future
- Planning and carrying out the health coaching project
Objectives Student is able

1. to describe how future health and social service system in Finland is formed in patient / client centered way, and how it will be steered and developed based on changing health and wellbeing needs of the people

2. to define health promotion as a professional and interprofessional action in health and social care as well as a multidisciplinary challenge for the society

3. to argue the benefits of interprofessional co-operation carrying out the patient centered service chain

4. to evaluate ones’ own health behavior and choices with help of the ICT based apps

5. to coach the clients / patients to change their unhealthy habits using EBHC model

6. to plan and carry out a group couching /health education analyzing and utilizing motivating methods for the focus group
Content The health and wellbeing strengths and risks of the Finns. The reform of health and wellbeing service system in Finland and developmental needs in future. The societal framework of prevention and health promotion. Values, ethical challenges and people centeredness of health promotion. The benefis and challenges of tnterprofessional collaboration in health and social care. Using modern ICT based apps to analyze health behavior and status. Evidence based health coaching.
